Special "Thank You" to Rev. Keyster Taylor and Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Seaboard, NC) for taking their time to worship with us.
We celebrate Dr. Ron Wallace in recognition of the great accomplishments that God has allowed him during his many years of service.
Although, as a child, his family were not regular church attendees Ron’s mother was a Christian. Dr. Wallace accepted the Lord as Savior at the age of 14. Much later, Dr. Wallace had the privilege of leading his father, at the age of 72, to the Lord and baptizing him.
Dr. Wallace served his country in the Navy from 1969 until 1973, (active duty), and 1973-1976 (inactive Reserve). He served aboard the USS Yellowstone Destroyer Tender.
Dr. Wallace has been married to his wife, Joy, for 47 years, as of July 9, 2019 and together they are the blessed parents of one son, Brian & his wife Danielle & granddaughter Brynn, and one daughter, Alyssa and her husband Matthew.
Dr. Wallace answered the call to preach at the age of 27 and received his certificate of ordination from Bible Baptist Church in August 1981. After answering the call to minister, he entered Faith Bible Theological Seminary where he earned a Bachelors degree in Religious Education. From there He has earned a Doctorate degree in Ministry from Emmanuel Baptist University and a Doctorate degree of Theology from New Grace Bible College. He was also granted an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from New Grace Bible College.
Dr. Wallace first worked as a bi-vocational associate pastor at Duraleigh Road
Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. Led by God, he began pastoring Tabernacle Baptist Church in Zebulon, NC in 1982, and in September 1993 he accepted the call to serve as pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Milford, Delaware. However, God's plan for his ministry at Tabernacle was not complete and within two years He called him to return to the pulpit of Tabernacle with a new vision for the church. Under his leadership, Tabernacle has seen a steady, consistent growth in membership and spiritual maturity.
Dr. Wallace has faithfully served the Lord for forty-three years. He is a strong leader that has a heart for others.
Dr. Wallace served as President of New Grace Bible College from 2000 - 2013. He was instrumental in the advancements at New Grace Bible College for thirteen years.
We at Tabernacle Baptist Church salute Dr. Ron Wallace for his unfailing devotion to Christ and the work of His church.

Most important: He is a man anointed, appointed and ordained by God.
He knows that God is the Master and he is a servant to fulfill God’s purpose. As a result, he has committed himself to spread God’s Word everywhere he goes. He strives to bring others to Christ and he strives to strengthen the faith of those who already believe.
His favorite scripture is Psalm 27:14, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
